Spring Parkade Cleaning

On the weekend of May 27 through May 29, 2011, the residential areas of the parkade (P2 East and all of P3) will be swept, washed and scrubbed, including the floors and walls.

During this time, it is mandatory that ALL vehicles and any other items stored in all parkade units be removed from the residential parking areas. Vehicles and items are to be removed by Friday, May 27 at 7:00pm and not to be returned until the conclusion of the cleaning at 6:00pm on Sunday, May 29. Free parking will be provided on the P2 west & P1 commercial side, by Impark, during the cleaning period.

ANY VEHICLES THAT ARE NOT REMOVED FOR THE CLEANING WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. ANY ITEMS NOT REMOVED WILL BE IMPOUNDED, AND A CHARGE WILL BE LAID FOR THEIR RETURN.

Seriously?

The sad part is there will be many teenage punks who will refuse to move their cars/trucks this time around similar to last time. And the even more sad part is that the tow truck drivers will be too timid to do it for fear of their lives. Well you had better hire some mean looking tow truck drivers that look like Chris to get this job done.

Think about it. There is a teenage punk who is playing music at 3 AM the other night and even after the property management company dropped off a letter to tell them of the noise, they still decide to play music at 11:30 PM. When it all comes down to it, the only thing these punks respond to is radical legal action (whether it be a eviction or legal threats) which I may consider if the noise continues.

Chris, I am willing to bet a meal at the PINT and a few beers that the punks are NOT going to move their trucks/cars this time around. How about this? If the tow truck driver has to tow 10 vehicles, then I win a meal. If they don't tow the 10 vehicles, you win.

Bet

Ben,

I won't take that bet, as it's pretty much assured you'll win. That said, anyone who doesn't move their vehicle will have it towed, be it, 5, 10 or 50 vehicles. And, I'll be on hand myself to see how things go down. The parkade WILL be cleaned (and properly) this time around.

Phone number of impound lot

Maybe we should find out the contact info for the impound lot for all the towed cars and put it on the site so the punks can contact the impound lot directly instead of acting like YESTERDAYSHERO with a mean attitude. I'm a little concerned for the safety of the property management staff with the mean teenage punks when they see their cars/trucks gone. Think about it.... a Dodge RAM / Ford Explorer or Hummer is a baby to some of these guys and when its gone, I'm not even sure they can handle the rage they will get into from a psychological perspective.

It'll be a challenge at least for the tow truck driver to tow the trucks. My understanding is that a lot of these mean trucks have car alarms so you'll get a WHOLE ton of noise during towing night.

Maybe I'll join you Chris in watching all of this. How about this? Since you wont bet on the number of cars being towed, we can bet on whether ANY cars will be towed because I am willing to bet that the tow truck driver will be too scared to even tow one vehicle away. So, if one car and only one gets towed, you get a free burger from the PINT of your choosing.

Lot

I don't think any of the tow truck drivers need be concerned. Everything will work out just fine. You're certainly welcome to come watch with me, but I won't be just standing idly by. I'm the guy tasked with removing any of the items (that aren't vehicles) at that time.

If you're that keen on buying me dinner, just email me and we can set something up. I'm a sucker for a free meal!
